Colwood Dahlias was named after the municipality that I live in outside of Victoria, BC Canada. I have been growing, showing, judging and hybridizing dahlias for 10 years. All forms, sizes and colors interest me, but my passion is for laciniated dahlias. I grow about 300 plants and 1000 seedlings each year. My objective for the last 5 years has been to come up with miniature lc's. Up to this point I have reached the desired size, but the fimbriation has not been deep enough. I use hand pollination methods and some I leave to the bees. At present I only grow laciniated dahlias. You can see some of my dahlia creations in the ADS book . The quest continues.
